If you have a statue that is in need of repair or restoration, you have come to the right place.
St. Joseph’s Statue Repair and Restoration is the home of repair and renewal of statues, large and small, inside and outside, plaster or concrete, as well as Stations of the Cross and Christmas Crèche scenes. It is an art that I have learned over a number of years, beginning with many of the examples that you will find here, and I am now prepared to reach out to others in the New England and New York area (or further if you wish to ship it to me). I look forward to work either with you on site, or have you ship to me, here in Portland, Connecticut, and will repair and restore your treasures to as close to their original condition and coloring as is possible. You will find throughout my site a number of pieces of work, including before and after shots.
Recently my work has been extended to include gold resurfacing for statues or metallic items. I use 18K gold using a combination of pen, brush, and gold leaf, depending upon the surface and use of the item.
I have chosen the name St Joseph’s statues, since it is my hope that I will put into my work the same dedication that was evident in the carpenter of Nazareth, who also chose as his vocation the path of foster father to Our Lord. All of my work is restored with hand painting, be it large or small, and I will take the time necessary to clean, sand and refine surfaces to their original condition, so as to maximize and restore the beauty of the original.
You will find within my site several examples of restorations and gold resurfacing that I have done; in my belief that a picture says a thousand words. I attempt to execute it with love and devotion, as I hope and pray that it will reach out to others with the inspiration that it has and continues to give to me as well.
